This CPD activity is divided in two sections. We expect that completing both sections should take you 4 hours.
Section A – (Reviewing Performance - 1 hour) invites you to undertake a Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) exercise using a hypothetical case scenario.
Section B – (Measuring Outcomes - 4 hours) invites you to evaluate your (or your team’s) current practices to ensure quality and safety of patient care in relation to the privacy and confidentiality of health information that is collected for the purposes of delivering care. This will help you to identify actions that you can take to minimise the likelihood of claims, complaints or investigations.
